A+E Networks Appoints Top Programming Execs at A&E, History

A+E Networks has promoted two senior programming execs as the cable group reshuffles following the departure of A&E head David McKillop.

Elaine Frontain Bryant has moved from History, where she was senior VP of programming, to the post of exec VP and head of programming for the A&E network. She’ll report to Rob Sharenow, who added oversight of A&E to his duties running Lifetime following McKillop’s exit.

Paul Cabana has been upped to exec VP and head of programming for History and H2. He had been senior VP and head of programming for H2. He reports to Dirk Hoogstra, History/H2 g.m. and exec VP.

Hoogstra and Sharenow said both execs have been “vital to the success of A+E Networks.”

Frontain Bryant previously spent eight years at A&E where she shepherded such unscripted series as “Storage Wars,” “Shipping Wars” and “Duck Dynasty.”
