It really did have me grinning since I myself have been in a love triangle or two and it really can get complicated!
If I was Bella I would have done the same things as her, but it did seem like she was trying to make everyone happy like Edward mentioned. The only thing I didn’t understand was her kissing Jacob that was unexpected! It seemed like she was playing both parts and almost seemed like she kept Jacob around for the extra protection (even though she didn’t want him to get hurt). She admitted her feelings to Jacob while secretly planning to get married to Edward. This makes me wonder, does she really love Edward whole heartedly?
If you were Bella what would you do in this situation?
When it comes to loving two people at the same time, I have found that I can love someone while being in love with another. When I was in a love triangle, the person who I fell in love with was the one I spent the most time with. The person I did love, I deeply cared for but the feelings weren’t as intense. Having two relationships is hard enough. Do you think it’s possible to love two people at the same time without someone getting heartbroken? What also surprised me was how well Edward took the fact that Bella kissed Jacob. I expected him to be quite upset since he completely protects her at all times. He really did show his true sense of character in the movie and portrayed how a man should take it. Jacob seems to have a hidden agenda in the hopes of convincing Bella that she is in fact in love with him. This is a brilliant strategy on his part when it comes to the game of love.
I don’t know if I would be able to endure watching the one I love be with someone else, this takes great courage in itself. I would end up frustrated and would have mixed feelings. What would you do if you were Jacob and the one you love was with someone else?
