Hard Ride to Hell is a 2010 horror film distributed by Vivendi Entertainment. It stars Miguel Ferrer as Jefe, Laura Mennell as Tessa, Brendan Penny as Danny, Katherine Isabelle as Kerry, and Brandon Jay McLaren as Dirk. It is written by Matthew Chernov, David Rosiak, and Penelope Buitenhuis. The director is Penelope Buitenhuis.
The story follows a group of young adults as they embark on a camping trip in rural Texas. But they unintentionally witness a ritual sacrifice by a devil-worshipping biker gang. The gang seems unstoppable in their pursuit of the group to protect their secret religion.
Hard Ride to Hell is a complete package. It seems to cover every major genre in the movie industry. There’s horror, of course, with the Satanic rituals and all the blood. In addition, science fiction is also prominent, with the biker gang’s desire for immortality. The action is there with the thrilling biker chases. Dramatic scenes are also there, with the senseless killing of innocent people and the survivors left to mourn them. Comedy is probably the least obvious of them all. There is a scene in which Bob makes his first appearance as the odd travelling knife salesman.
Miguel Ferrer plays the evil gang leader Jefe. As I viewed this film, I found myself cheering excessively for Bob the knife salesman as he fought the evil gang and, particularly, its leader. Jefe is one of those types of antagonists the viewer can’t wait to see killed. He is cruel and, seemingly, invulnerable to the group’s, at later Bob’s, attempts to destroy him. He kills without mercy and will stop at nothing to get what he’s after.
To wrap, Hard Ride to Hell is a perfect film for all you thrill-seeking movie-goers! You will love it!
