It is a fact that over the years there has been a lot that has been discussed, read and written about Beauty and the Beast; however, there has not been a lot that has been said about this classic film’s 3D conversion. To some persons, the 3D conversion of Beauty and the Beast seems a bit strange, since the original film was primarily made up of hand-drawn art; however, once you go and see the film for yourself, it will all make sense to you. An interesting fact to take into consideration is that the film was animated using Computer Animation Production System (CAPS), which enabled the crew to use depth to enhance the stage sequences and multiplane effects. So in some sense, the 3D aspect of the movie already existed.
