My Top Five Horror Movies

5. Dead Girl

First off this is a sort of disturbing movie with creepy scenes and what a teenager would do with a zombie like naked female who can’t die. This is about two teenage high school friends Ricky played by Shiloh Fernandez, and JT played by Noah Segan. It starts off with Ricky and JT in school and Ricky is staring at the girl who he admires. JT decides to ditch school trying to convince Ricky to come along he succeeds. They go to an abandoned asylum, have some beers and start wrecking the place up. Then going into the dark basement a black dog comes from behind them, they run from the dog into a room and shut the door. In there they find a woman wrapped in a plastic bag still alive Ricky gets freaked out and leaves JT stays behind. JT finds Ricky later and says he has something to show him. They go back to the asylum and JT shoots the girl, Ricky passes out. Ricky then recovers only to find the girl is still alive. Dead girl all in all is a good movie, good acting from everyone part of the movie no complaints not scary just disturbing. So Dead Girl I give a 3/5 stars it’s definitely worth a watch.

4. The Loved Ones

This movie is about what happens when you turn down a psychopath when she asks you to the prom. The loved ones is a demented torture movie that turns your stomach and pains you to watch in a good way. It starts with Brent and his father driving, they have a conversation, Brent takes his eyes off the road for a second looks up and a boy covered in blood is in front of the car. Brent turns quickly to dodge the boy and ends up smashing into the tree killing his father. A year later Brent is a different kid and blames himself for his father’s death, we later see him at school he has a girlfriend, best friend, and a stalker Lola. Brent’s at his locker and Lola approaches him asking if he’ll go to the prom with her he reply’s he’s going with his girlfriend. He walks away and she’s stares as him as he walks. Later Brent is with his dog climbing up hill thinking to himself when he is kidnapped by Lola’s father. He then awakes tied to a chair dressed in a tuxedo at a table with Lola in a prom dress, her father, and her mother. Brent doesn’t know what he’s in for. The Loved Ones is one my favorite torture movies 3/5 stars a movie you should check out.

3. [REC] 2

I never saw the first REC but some of you may know that Quarantine basically remade this movie for American viewers with slight changes. REC 2 leaves off from the first movie, the building is still quarantined the cops now enter it. The difference between Quarantine and REC is this one deals with possession by demons. The movie deals with several different stories the cops, three teens and others. The cops enter only find there are still some possessed there. They bring a priest in with them to try and get rid of the possession; this movie quickly turns into to a bloody exciting adventure. Not really too much to say about this movie but it’s a great ride. REC 2 gets 4/5 stars from me good acting great plot check this movie out, and enjoy the ride

2. The Collector

The Collector is a slasher movie with an interesting killer. It starts with Arkin an ex-con who is desperate to repay his ex-wife’s debt by doing a heist at a new employer’s house. He soon finds out that someone else is already in the house and has different plans. The Collector has the house rigged with deadly traps that Arkin soon finds out. He finds the wife being tortured, and the husband captive. He tries helping them but the collector now wants Arkin. The collector is a great movie especially if you love slashers. I loved its gore, kind of like Saw which has same writers 4/5 stars for me, I enjoyed it.

1. Thirst

Thirst is an Asian vampire movie, but the difference is a medical experiment fails and a Priest gets stricken with Vampirism instead of bitten. The movie to me is more of a romance, but is put in the category of horror because of the killing and vampires. Kang-ho Song meets Ok-bin Kim, and they fall for each other although she’s already married. Kang-ho Song refuses to kill and instead drinks blood through tubes from patients at a hospital. Later on in the movie there’s complications with Ok-bin Kim asking Kang-ho to transform her into a vampire to. I really liked this movie not scary at all but it wasn’t meant to be. Very good acting, great story with compassion, I loved it and give 5/5 stars there was nothing to complain about with this movie.
