You may or may not have seen the preview of the movie In Time, simply put, this is a science fiction film that basic story line states that everyone will stop aging by the time they get to the age of 25. Once they have reached this age, they will live for one more year and then they will die. Everyone wears a bio-luminescent watch that will tell them how much time they have left. This watch is worn on their arms. This movie is seen as the perfect depiction of what money can do for you because as within the real world, the rich will prosper and the poor will always suffer.
In this movie review you will learn of the major characters in this movie and the overall essence of what the movie is about. In time you will see in the movie that the rich lives an immortal life and the poor basically live their lives one day at a time trying to earn more time to do what they can.
This movie line is said to come from Andrew Niccol, the writer and director of this movie. The movie is said to be similar to the concept of that of his earlier movie Gattaca, which was a movie about people who are genetically enhanced being in the upper echelon of society. This movie is constantly being referred to as Gattaca revisited by the makers of it; however, this movie focuses more on the obsession that society has with image but it comes across in a much different way.
The character of Will Salas an impoverished man is played by Justin Timberlake. This character although very poor in the movie, gets more time than he “deserved” and because of this he is on the run for his life. This movie came together with the help of costume designer Colleen Atwood and production designer Alex McDowell who was able to clearly depict and show fully that time is really money.
Base on the fact that the poor literally had to watch every time they spent, they wore something known as fast fashion that came with zippers and snaps. Slow fashion is however, what rich people wore. These clothing are designed with numerous buttons and layers because they have the time to spend getting all dressed up.
This movie is an adventure film that has Salas running from Cillian Murphy’s time keeper and the comments that this movie has received have all been good and everyone is holding their breaths to see this film.
