Eagle Eye was a very action packed movie from start to finish. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat until I found out who the voice on the phone was. If you have ever seen the movie ‘I, Robot’ starring Will Smith, you will be able to guess what is going to happen in the second half of Eagle Eye.
The main story line in I, Robot involved a man made computer that was linked to Robots. The computer then turned all the robots against humans because the humans where killing each other to much (trying to create a perfect world). Eagle Eye involved a same type of computer that was trying to make the human race less violent. In this film the computer was controlling humans instead of Robots to complete the mission.
Other than the story line, this movie was very well made. D.J. Caruso and Shia LaBeouf are perfect together. Eagle eye was one of the most intense movies of the year. Shia and Michelle’s acting was very believable. They made you think “what if the Government is watching?” The style which this movie was shot reminded me a lot of Enemy of the State, another Will Smith Movie.
I would give this movie an average rating for trying and would fail the director for choosing a film that was not very original. I would recommend Eagle Eye to anyone who has not seen I, Robot. For those who have seen I Robot, all I can say is that if you want to see basically the same story than watch Eagle Eye.
