One actor who always seems to come up in the discussion of great actors of my generation (early to mid nineties was my prime) is Bruce Willis. It is not just my generation however; Bruce Willis continues to churn out excellent high action movies to this day.
This article will discuss my top five favorite Bruce Willis films from the past two decades.
One film that I certainly have to mention is The Sixth Sense. I am not usually a fan of M. Night Shymalan movies, but his first major motion picture was a smash hit, both at the box office and from an audience standpoint. This film is awesome and Willis is a major part of the reason why.
Another fantastic Bruce Willis film is Hostage. This film ended up being much better than I thought it would be, and much darker as well. This is a high suspense film and Ben Foster also stars and plays a terrifying villain named Mars.
No list of Bruce Willis films would be complete without paying homage to The Last Boy Scout. This film helped set the precedent for action films of the 1990s. Tony Scott directed and Damon Wayans also stars in this one.
Of course, it goes without saying that a film from the Die Hard series should be mentioned in this list. My personal favorite was Die Hard 3 (With A Vengeance). Maybe it is because the action was the best in my opinion, but there is no wrong answer of the four movies.
One other movie that I certainly makes my top five Bruce movies may come as a surprise, but it is none other than the original Look Who’s Talking. Sure, he simply plays the voice of Mikey, America’s most loveable child from the late 1980s, but I have nothing but good memories from this movie.
Since there are so many great Bruce Willis movies which I may have failed to mention, I just may have to write another article citing other great ones.
